Its been a while!

I realized its been so darn long since I have logged in and posted anything! I can't even remember the last time I had blogged. From the looks of it, it was around May!

Since then a lot has been going on-quite a few road trips, a break from photography as a job and a lot of time at work.  We've managed to go to the Redwoods, a few events and Glacier National Park. I squeezed in a festival, Crank It Up, and an engagement in there too. Its been a good few months!  Here's a few shots:

Lately, we've been prepping the house for sale-a long process since there is always SOMETHING that this house needs. We're happy with the way the house is coming along and confident we should be able to sell in the Spring.

The coming weeks should bring a photography event for a friend, editing of CIU, and at least one or two more road trips. I'll be posting work as I can and keeping you all updated of where I will be!

Until next time,
Raina

Early Summer Updates

It's odd.

I sit in front of a computer every day, all day long. I manage to check my email and my facebook  an amount of times that I am sure isn't healthy, but I keep forgetting to post here! So here it goes, a early summer update!

Things in May were busy and good-had two shows, work was busy, even managed to squeeze in a trip to the redwoods and do a quick cemetery shoot. I even ventured out to look  at buying a new house.

After all the action of May, I'm taking the next month or two off to relax and regroup. Work is picking up again after a slight lull, and I need to be on top of that.  So here it is mid June, and I have nothing on tap. It's pretty nice-no shows,

Crazy making...

Its been a busy few weeks, I have been trying to get things done around the house, but I am finding it increasingly hard to stay in when it is SO beautiful outside. This has yielded two great things: The gardens are almost all done (and early too!), and I have 230 new shots from one weekend. Insert happy sigh here!  Its nice when you can turn a drive home from a birthday party into a series of photos.

If you haven't been, Port Gamble and Port Townsend are amazing this time of year. It was in the high 50's, low 60's and sunny. The Sunday market was in full swing, and Conor, Mia and I had the windows down and the radio up.  What more could a girl want? :)

Stay tuned for some pictures, and an updated calendar. It's looking like this summer is going to be filled with some great shows.  I'll also be posting some great events from other artists and South Park-just to round out the fun.

I hope everyone has been having a fabulous spring, I know I have!

Cheers,

Raina

Hello world!

Well, Hello big world. You're looking very shiny and nice today.  :)   Welcome to my page. It's an attempt to get my work and in turn, myself out and about.

You always get to these pages, where you think: "Hmm...my first blog/page/thing/whatever...It should be GOOD and BIG! And..."

But then you just sit and can't really find the words you want to immortalize who you are (or at least pass the time).

I could start here and tell you about myself, but there's a page for that. I could write out my calendar for the week, but I am pretty sure there's an app for that.

*According to Apple and most sites, there's an app for everything.*

So the best I can offer for this first blog is this:

Hi. My name is Raina. I live in Seattle. I'm an artist, a feminist, a nerd, a cook, a social worker, a girlfriend, and a person that changes depending on what hat I have on. Have a seat, grab a drink, and have a look around my page.

Cheers,

Raina
